Digitizing
Designs can be digitized from jpeg, bmp, png and other files. I do not use the auto digitize feature as it always fails to produce a neat product, especially when dealing with the complicated overs and unders of celtic knots. Pricing ranges from $3 per 1000 stitches for clear designs to $4.50 per 1000 stitches for hand drawn design “ideas” that require more attention. Embroidery
Any design can be stitched onto your fabric (that you have interfaced, stabilized, and marked) for $1.00 per 1000 stitches using rayon or polyester thread, $1.50 per 1000 stitches using metallics (no super-twist), and $2.00 per 1000 stitches for applique designs. Patches
Many designs can be worked into a patch that you then can attach to your dresses. If interested, please email taoknitter@gmail.com for pricing.
How I work
When I first started offering these digitized Irish Dance designs, I really just assumed folks would ask for a size and that would be that. In actuality, my clients ask all sorts of questions, and I find myself so involved with them that I feel I get to know some! Beside deciding on sizes and file types, we discuss design ideas, colors, fabrics, stabilizing, threads, how to hoop, how to use sticky back stabilizer for the smoothest embroidery, etc, etc! I have clients who come to me to digitize their designs, and things get more intense as we get the design just right and decide how they would like their stitch-out to work. All of this is great fun, and I get impatient awaiting photos of their finished dresses! (Hint, hint!)
It is important to me that all clients, from the beginning embroiderer to the professional, are happy. I am here to fix files, trouble-shoot stitch-outs, answer questions, etc. It is more involved than I expected, but infinitely more gratifying.
Please be aware that because of the digital nature of purchases made from me, there are no refunds. However, I will do everything in my power to make sure your files work.
All digitized design file sales are for single use on solo dresses to be sold, or unlimited use for personal purposes not involving re-sale. If designs are for team dresses or multiple OTR solo dresses, there is an additional fee for the license to re-use the designs on multiple dresses.
